Mark Wigan is an illustrator and an academic who focuses on teaching the “art of illustration” His works have been published and exhibited in Europe and overseas. He teaches at Camberwell College of Arts in London. The book is a comprehensive guide to basic design and, focusing on illustration. It deals with psychological aspects of visual thinking which are argued to be a prerequisite for the ability to skillfully express oneself visually. The attitudes and strategies that support the development of visual thinking and the appropriation of “visual dictionary” are concisely presented in the book.
