Pět pohledů na nadání [Five attitudes to a talent].
(review)

Eva Vondráková

This thin book brings necessary information and food for thought for everyone who would like to understand gifted children and their upbringing and approach to their education responsibly and with empathy. The talent is a topic which leaves only few people indifferent. The attitude to it changes according to the “implicit theory” of those, who are currently in charge of the society. However gifted children exist and their raising has its rules, no matter of the system, in which they are currently living. They are not just “the icing on the cake” – mere 2 – 3 % of the population. If they all had required conditions, 20 – 25 % of them would manage to excel in a certain area of human activity.
