Foreign language education in early childhood? Possible risks or advantages?

The paper reacts on the current trend in Czech society – implementation of foreign language education in pre-scholl institutions and frequent discussions concerning advantages of bilingual family environment in child´s nursing age. With regard to the developmental psychology, the author recommends all-embracing support of the child with an emphasis on mother tongue mastery.
