Initial Conference of the Early Childhood Development Working Group of the Czech-Moravian Psychological Society

In June 2009, an expert conference was held at the Faculty of Social Studies in Brno on the occasion of the establishment of the Early Childhood Development Working Group of the Czech-Moravian Psychological Society. The participants have been acquainted with the themes and objectives that had led to the establishment of the working group. One of the main focuses of the working group is to support the availability of quality psychological care for children in early childhood and their parents, for women with abnormal pregnancy and for parents whose child was born prematurely or who died. Another aim is the development of interdisciplinary cooperation for in the area of early childhood development, an active cooperation with concerned experts is indispensable. In the time to come, the Early Childhood Development Working Group would associate experts, not just psychologists but also specialist in the area of neonatology, pediatry, child neurology and others working with children in early childhood.
