Nakažlivé zívání a empatie

Abstrakt

Cílem této práce bylo empiricky ověřit existenci vztahu mezi empatií a nakažlivým zíváním (tj. zíváním vyvolaným sledováním zívání nebo přemýšlením o něm). Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 59 vysokoškolských studentů vybraných příležitostným výběrem. Nakažlivé zívání respondentů, které výzkumník skrytě nahrával, bylo vyvolané sledováním videoklipu. Empatie byla poté měřena Testem čtení z očí (RME) a Indexem interpersonální reaktivity (IRI). Výsledná data byla statisticky analyzována metodou mnohonásobné lineární regrese. Empatie se neukázala být signifikantním prediktorem frekvence nakažlivého zívání. Autoři představují další osobnostní dispozice, které by mohly být spojeny s nakažlivým zíváním, ačkoliv sociální funkce zívání je zpochybněna. Limitaci při interpretaci výsledků studie představuje menší počet respondentů a pozitivně zešikmené rozložení dat.
