The reviewed publication is the first one of a three-volume project aimed at mapping the establishment and development of this field in our cultural environment through interviewing prominent figures of the Czechoslovak psychology. Interviews for the first part were provided by doyens born from 1916 to 1939. The book is a result of qualitative historiographic research. Its’ main part consists of records of interviews with nine leading figures, which were conducted based on uniform thematic topics. The result is extremely engaging narratives that, despite the similar scheme of all the interviews, reveal the uniqueness of the creative prominent figures interviewed.
