How is the inclusion successful in The Czech Republic and Slovakia.
(review)

Marie Najmonová

The book opens a discussion on the topic of social inclusion and exclusion in the school environment. Based on a qualitative ethnographic research, the author invites us to twelve elementary schools in different regions of The Czech Republic and Slovakia, where he seeks the answer to the question “How the elementary school stimulates the inclusion of pupils into the child’s group or how it contributes to their exclusion”.

I strongly recommend to not skip the Preface of the book. The author is the linguistic anthropologist Tomáš Samek and also his essay ‘Inclusion and our future: About three paradoxes of the public space’ I consider to be fundamental not only for this book but mostly for understanding the inclusion in context of its’ perception in our society.
