The DEMOSTHENES – centre of the complex care organized an
interdepartmental conference to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The conference
was held at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
For its organization and target group, this non state centre is one of the very
few such facilities in the Czech Republic. It connects three departments –
public health, educational system and social sphere – and profit and
non-profit sector. At one place, the centre offers multidisciplinary care for
families with children with neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e. for familes with
health handicapped children, risk development children or in suspicion of
development disorder).
